I realize that it has been a while since my last blog and for that I do apologize. I have been back in Birmingham for about a month and it has definitely been a time of transition.
If I had to describe this season of my life I would say that it is a season of repairing my past, while preparing for my future, all the while living my Kingdom purpose for today. So, what does that mean? I am getting my house in order; I am getting my debt taken care of, debt from my younger years (not that I am old) when I had a problem with materialism and tried to live above my means. That is the past that I am repairing. In doing this I will be able to do whatever God tells me to do and go wherever He says go because I will be financially free. I am also about to start taking some classes on inner healing to furthur my knowledge on the struggles that people endure and how to help walk them through. That is a big part of what Broken Ministries is about. All the while, ministering to anyone that I can right now.
As for me personally, I am runnning after God with all I am. It is in Him that I was and am still able to find joy, hope, purpose and my life!! Things in the natural don't always make sense and are not always how they appear but we must chose to press into Him and keep Him our priority because it is in Him that we find ourselves, that we have our life!! He is the joy of our salvation and He never leaves us or forsakes us. He is concerned with every detail in our lives and as we continually put out trust in Him, He will continually reveal his plan and purpose for us. Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. I want to encourage you today, that no matter what you are facing, Trust in Him and not your own understanding. We can't always see the big picture but He does!!! Besides who better to trust than our creator? My prayer for you today is that you run after God with all you have!!
Much Love,
Dallas

Miracles in Manhattan
Miracles in Manhattan is what God showed us this weekend. I spent my last weekend in Manhattan with the team from CKE and in two days, we saw 2 people healed of heel spurs, 2 people accept Jesus as their savior, 1 spine straighten, 1 guy healed from stuttering, and a girl baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was one of the best weekends ever.
I am going to greatly miss NYC and my family there. They have been such a huge blessing in my life and I have enjoyed doing life with them. I find joy in knowing that the bonds we have formed will continue to grow and I look forward to seeing and hearing all the great things they accomplish with God.
I am so excited and filled with anticipation to see what God has in store for Broken Ministries in Alabama!! WOW, look out Birmingham!!

It's a New Season!!
My time in New York has been God Ordained and LIFE CHANGING!! It has been a time of tremendous growth and acceleration. I've spent the last six months in a vital time of ministry preparation; in the spirit as well as the natural. The ministry and the things God has used me to do is indescribable!! I am living in a place in my life where I am 100% dependent on God. If He doesn't show up in my daily life then I am jacked. Being in that place has brought such freedom to my life and a boldly confidence that leaves me knowing that with Him I can do absolutely anything my heart desires. No dream is too big and no idea is too crazy!!
God has recently spoken to me about relocating to Birmingham, Alabama. I have always LOVED Birmingham and have considered it home. I as well as Broken Ministries will be relocating there the first week of August. I am excited about this next season and what God has in store for me. I know that it will be great and far exceed anything that I can imagine!!

Don't Turn Around
As many of you know I am on vacation. I spent a week in Birmingham and now I am in Nashville. I have really enjoyed seeing all my peeps and being able to share with you 1st hand what I have been experiencing in NYC.
The other day I was going to visit a friend of mine in Decatur. She gave me directions on how to get to where she was. I began following these directions but then literally right before I should have arrived, I thought that I went to far and turned around. As I turned back around and once again headed in the right direction, I began to think about this scenario. I wonder how many people "turn-around" right before they are about to walk in the destiny that God has for them. How many times do we get a word from God and let doubt or uncertainty get us off track. Following directions when you don't know where you are or if you'll end up at your final destination can be a scary but when those directions are from God, you have nothing to worry about. He is all knowing and will NEVER misguide you. Following His directions will always land you where you are suppose to be EXACTLY when you are suppose to be there.

Friends and Ministry
This past week was a fun week as well as an inspiring week. I had two guests in town. One, a girl I have been friends with for 9 years and the other a girl that came a stranger and left a friend. I love the way God connects people. Having these girls here was so much fun.
We Shopped,we toured the city,we shopped some more, we ate, and just had tons of fun with a lot of late nights and early mornings. One of things I enjoyed most about this week was that we just smiled and talked to people everywhere we went. This may seem like a normal thing to most of you but not in the "Big Apple". People around here walk fast with their heads down and their Ipods playing; never really engaging in what is going on around them. It always amazes me the reactions you get from giving someone a smile or saying hi, how are you. Some people smile back while others look at you like your crazy. Either way, I know that it brightens their day and leaves them wondering what is different about us.
On Thursday we went and shared the love of Jesus with the people in Columbus circle. It was an amazing night of spreading the Love of Jesus to people who thought they were just at the mall to go shopping. We prayed with 6 people in all and were able to tell several more that God loves them and has a plan for their life. We also smiled and greeted lots of people saying hi and asking how they were. A lot of people left that mall having their lives forever changed by God!! WOOHOO!!

4 months into Broken Ministries
It was 6 months ago that God birthed Broken Ministries in my heart. I never imagined that the vision that He gave me December 6, 2009 would land me living in NYC 2 months later and embarking on the adventure of being a missionary to NYC and pioneering a ministry from the ground up. It has been a journey with lots of twists and turns, but a journey that has forever changed my life. God has brought me to new levels of freedom and used me in ways I wouldn't have imagined.
In the last 4 months, I have participated in 8 planned street evangelism events, prayed with numerous people that I have come in contact with in my everyday coming and goings, spoke life and guidance to several people that just needed a little encouragement, gave my testimony at a Woman's home and ministered healing and hope to 6 of the women, wrote my testimony to be published in a book, and began writing a 31 day devotional!! WOW!!! God is awesome!! None of this would be possible without him!!
For those of you that are not sure what Broken Ministries is, it is an Isaiah 61 ministry. It is
-A place for the broken, bruised, and hopeless
-A place for the abandoned, abused, and rejected
-A place for healing and restoration
-A birthing place for dreams and purpose
-A growing place for greatness
-A launching place for Destiny
While I do not have a "place" yet; I am hitting the streets on NYC meeting these people and taking the healing, restoration, and hope to them everywhere I go!!

Everywhere You Go
Ministry is everywhere we go. It is in every store, restaurant, and venue that we visit. It is in every subway and on every street corner. I love the times that I get together with a group of people and we hit the streets of NYC with the sole purpose of evangelizing and ministering to people but I love it even more when we are just hanging out and still evangelizing and ministering.
It seems that everywhere I go I see people that are hurting and desperately looking for a way to cope with their present circumstance. Some try to cover it with drugs or alcohol while other try to mask it with materialism or promiscuity. There are a million ways that people try to fill the pain and void in their lives while all the while the answer is found in Jesus.
I want to tell you about the ministry opportunities that I encountered while just hanging out with my friends Aaron and Johanna. While walking to the Subway we met two guys named Cherog and Jaime. They were really nice guys and we ended up talking to them for about 30 minutes. We prayed for both of them, right there on the street corner, before we went our separate ways. We prayed for Jaime's dad to be healed from Alzheimers and for Cherog's life to be blessed.
We went to Port Jefferson a few weeks ago and while we were there, we asked a man to take our picture of us in this cool old time looking phone booth. He did it gladly but stated that he had bad eyesight. We of course took this opportunity to tell him about Jesus and to pray for his eyesight to be healed. I love how we were given opportunities to minister right where we were, right in our everyday worlds. Remember, wherever you go there is hurting people that need to hear about the love of Jesus.
