Living the Sweet Life!!

What a Sweet Life I live!! God is absolutely amazing and He is such a good God!! When He told me to move to New York, I knew that it made no sense in the natural but I said Yes. I moved to New York with a dream of a ministry in my heart and directive from my daddy God. I had no idea what to expect when I got here but I knew it was right where I was suppose to be. Broken ministries is very alive in my heart and I am excited to see it continue to grow.

I was talking with my roommates the other day and while I was talking with them I started to realize the amazing life that I am living. My roommates are business partners and they own a cake company. I am working for them and helping them prepare to launch their retail location. God just handed me this opportunity on a silver platter. He delicately ordered each and every step that brought me to this place. These girls love God with their entire heart. They are all about ministry and people. We work hard but we have so much fun. We pray, we listen to worship music and we let God direct each and every one of our steps.

When I think about my life I get so excited!! I am living in NYC, being used by God to bring restoration to broken people. I am working at a job where we don't just make cupcakes but God is the focus of everything that we do. I have roommates who are on fire for God and His people; roommates who for fun we go street evangelizing. How cool is that!!

This weekend we sent out almost 500 cupcakes so I learned how to pipe, ice, and put fondant on cupcakes. Don't laugh!! It was definitely an experience but it ws so much fun!! Thank you God for letting me live the sweet life!!

Treasure Hunting

All I can say about this past weekend is WOW WOW WOW!! I joined up with a team from Bill Johnson's church and we went treasure hunting. I am sure you are all wondering what treasure hunting is. Treasure hunting is when you go out and hunt for God's treasure (souls). We took a piece of paper that said Treasure map on the top and looked a little like this:

location:
________ ________ ________ ________ ________ ________

Description (clothes, hair, etc):
________ ________ ________ ________ ________ ________

What prayer is needed:
________ ________ ________ ________ ________ ________

Random things:

________ ________ ________ ________ ________ ________

We prayed and then took 3 minutes to fill out our treasure maps. Whatever we heard in those 3 minutes we wrote down. When our 3 minutes was up we hit the streets in search of God's treasures, using the clues He provided. The miracles and changed lives that happened from doing this was amazing!! There were physical and emotional healings, salvations, people's hearts were soften and numerous seeds were planted!! It was awesome to approach people and tell them how God had led us to them. We showed them our treasure maps with their descriptions on them and they were so amazed. It broke my heart at how many people just teared up at the words God loves you, He's not mad at you and He's in a good mood. I think we can often forget that there are people all around us that are hurting, hopeless, and broken. For them just hearing those words can make a life or death difference in their life. I know it did in mine. My life was forever changed when I heard those words and it was forever changed this weekend as I had the privilege to go and share His love with people who are in desperate need of Him in their lives!!

Evangelizing the Streets of New York

Today myself and 4 other people hit the streets of NYC. We went to Columbus Circle and Central Park for the second time. Before we went we prayed for divine appointments and that is exactly what God gave us!! In the 3 hours we were there we talked with 6 different people. I know that 6 people doesn't sound like a lot but what happened there was significant.

I want to tell you about 2 different people that I met today. The first man I met gives tours of Central Park. He is a Godly man that loves Jesus with his whole heart. We were able to pray with him for increase in business but more than that we made a connection. This man is someone that ministers to broken people everyday in the park. We sat in his carriage and he told us tons of stories about people that he has ministered to and the people whose lives will be forever changed. He was so encouraged to meet people that would be praying for him and by the God connection that was established between us.

The second guy that I met has some pretty jacked up views about God, Jesus, and the Bible. However, I was able to discuss his beliefs and my beliefs with him for about 45 minutes. He said that he learned a lot from our conversation and told me that it was okay to pray for him through out the week. He hugged me goodbye and we agreed that I would go back to his place of work on Friday to talk with him some more.

God used us to plant some incredible seeds today!!
